About the job:
As the Senior Leadership Advisor, you will lead a small team of subject matter experts across a variety of subject areas, providing expert guidance on leadership within the further education and skills sector, drawing on extensive experience and knowledge. You will develop learning strategies that address education, governance, and development policy goals, supporting positive outcomes for both leaders and governors across the system.
The successful candidate will have:
- Current/recent further education and skills leadership experience
- Proven policy related experience, preferably within the further education sector or related field.
- Strong understanding of skills development, vocational training and workforce requirements and designing and developing programmes to meet the workforce needs across further education settings
- Excellent research, analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to synthesise complex information, design solutions to policy challenges and make data-informed improvements
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to engage and present to diverse stakeholders across subject matter areas and settings.
- Good understanding of working in a membership organisation, engaging with members and volunteers, understanding their perspective and incorporating their input into policy proposals.
